OverLimits Games is a small indie studio dedicated to creating immersive and innovative videogames. We are based in Italy and our young team is extremely passionate about motorsport and sim racing.

That’s why we decided to go beyond the usual racing games by focusing on the hidden complexities of a driver's career. We believe that to truly tell a racing story, you must not only recreate the thrill of the track but also the strategic decisions, financial struggles, and team dynamics that define a champion.

OverLimits Games is closely connected to the OverLimits Academy, an educational e-learning platform in Italy that teaches people how to develop their video games. They offer courses for individuals who want to learn game development from scratch.

The Racing Journey is a new realistic racing videogame where you can experience the entire career of a professional racing driver. You will start your racing career driving rental karts, and you will play your journey up to Drive 1™ World Championship. Will you be fast enough to make it? 😎

Main Features

The heart of the game is the CAREER mode, a narrative journey that challenges you to climb the ranks of motorsport. You will begin your adventure with a simple rental kart, racing on local tracks to prove your talent. You’ll have the opportunity to progress to better-performing vehicles, eventually making the jump to single-seaters. The challenge intensifies as you make a name for yourself, moving through prestigious championships like the Drive 4™ National Championship before setting your sights on true glory in the WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS of Drive 3™, Drive 2™, and finally, the legendary Drive 1™ World Championship.

Management Beyond the Track

In The Racing Journey, your career also depends on your ability to manage your resources.

Financial Management: In the world of racing, every championship has a cost. You’ll need to balance income and expenses, negotiating contracts and managing your budget to avoid being left on the sidelines. Good results on the track will attract the attention of SPONSORS, and if you’re fast enough, you might even be supported by a Drive 1™ DRIVER ACADEMY.
Staff Management: You don't win alone. Your team is your greatest asset. An expert RACE ENGINEER will provide vital feedback to optimize your vehicle's performance, while a good MANAGER will help you secure better contracts.
Vehicle Maintenance: Durability is essential. You’ll need to regularly care for your vehicle, replacing worn-out parts and applying UPGRADES to ensure optimal reliability and performance in every race.

Creativity and Customization

The Racing Journey also gives you the chance to express your creativity. Personalize every aspect of your garage and your vehicle:

Livery and Design: From colors and patterns to sponsor logos, you can create a unique livery that represents you on the track.
Custom Garage: Decorate your garage with items that are not only stylish but also functional.
